I’ve been thinking about how best to sell modern kitchens to you, for our Beautiful Kitchens poll, and I’ve decided that, really, I just don’t need to. Now I know Ysanne and Rachel may be shaking their heads at this no-sell option, but I assure you it’s no sneaky tactic – I truly believe that modern kitchens speak for themselves. Bringing your kitchen into the 21st century needn’t mean it will be quick to date and leading-edge materials, such as glass, acrylic, wood and hi-gloss are proving ever popular. We love designs by Metris, Warendorf, Alno and Ikea – for more kitchen ideas see our May 2010 issue.
This swanky monochrome design by PTC Kitchens proves my case in point – it’s not just a kitchen, it’s a social space and thus deserves to look the part. Thank you for voting modern!
